The vision of escaflowne romantic moments

High school student Hitomi is transported from Earth to the magical world of Gaea, where she meets boy prince Van Fanel, and is caught up in his quest to unite the countries of Gaea against the ominous Zaibach empire. On the way, she discovers a hidden ability and strives to unravel layers of mystery surrounding Van, his past, and the giant machine known as Escaflowne. When you take an idea that by itself is nothing new in the medium of entertainment it can be challenge to build on that idea in a way to make a quality show and not just be run of the mill. While the basic premise of Escaflowne a high school girl being sent to another world is not new by any stretch of the imagination, it does show that by putting in the effort to develop on the basic idea and adding in some different genre concepts without doing it half assed you can have an excellent series that is enjoyable to watch.

Thirty Days of Escaflowne – Day 29 – Eternal Love – L’Amore

The isekai genre is one of the most popular in anime these days. It dominated most of the s and isn't going anywhere in the s for the moment. Though people had a problem with it at first, people have gradually gotten used to the rules of the isekai world. Some fans enjoy the usually male-oriented power fantasies that exist in the world of isekai, and as a result eschew many of the series that don't go down that path.

Knowing that, there are plenty of isekai series that critics love for breaking the mold and doing something different with the idea that never quite caught on with fans of the genre. Grimgar barely feels like an isekai at first. They struggle to defeat goblins and make just enough money to keep buying clean underwear.

Critics love Grimgar for its character development, but considering the show never got a film or a sequel, it's obvious the level of popularity the series really had. Vision of Escaflowne was a series Shoji Kawamori developed around the same time as he worked on Macross 7. It featured protagonist Hitomi Kanzaki taken from Earth to a planet known as Gaea, and working alongside Van to stop a war started by the Zaibach Empire.

Escaflowne was actually a massive success worldwide, which is unsurprising considering the talented creators behind it like its creators Kawamori and legendary composer Yoko Kanno. However, the series came and went in Japan, and had trouble gaining popularity in the US initially due to a heavily edited Fox Kids dub.

Its protagonist is Yoko Nakajima, a normal high school girl, until one day a random man swears fealty to her, then transports her into the world of the 12 Kingdoms. Though Yoko does eventually become the ruler of a nation of her own, the road there is dangerous and fraught with betrayal.

One of the bigger series from that era is the Yuu Watase creation Fushigi Yugi. While it's still a classic, these days the series has fallen out of favor with the isekai audience who prefers their power fantasies. After accepting the rest of the party had out-leveled him, Red decides to retire from heroing and live life out in the boonies.

There he runs an apothecary shop alongside an old friend of his known as Rit, who happens to be in love with him. Isekai fans looking for their power fantasy will have to turn elsewhere—this show is just a fluffy series about two lovers running a business. Log Horizon was the second show to go down the trapped-in-a-video-game route after Sword Art Online.

Though Log Horizon would find some fans, it never quite caught fire in the same way that Sword Art did. But Sword Art Online is so popular, its spin-off light novels are getting adaptations, while Log Horizon can only barely get its main series adapted.

Isekai fans might not be aware of this, but Aura Battler Dunbine is credited as being the very first isekai anime. Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the creator of Mobile Suit Gundam , the show centers around Sho Zama, a young man transported from the normal world into the impossible world of Byston Well. In this new world, Sho is forced to fight for Byston Well by piloting a giant robot known as a Dunbine, thanks to his impressive Aura powers.

Isekai fans have never been particularly big on giant robots, and unlike most isekai, this series features many of the protagonists being slaughtered. The anime series, however, was nothing like what isekai fans of today would expect. He goes on a quest to figure out who he is and how to log out, which is close enough to the usual isekai fantasy premise. However, while most stories would feature one-sided fights as Tsukasa explored the world,. Explain the End of Escaflowne

One editor has commented that the video feels like a fairytale, which is somewhat accurate Knights, daring rescues, etc. I know it's nonsense, but at the same time I am a hopeless romantic. I got the idea while on my Springbreak roadtrip to Vail during my last year in college. I could see a lot of the video the vision already and well I wanted to see if I could recreate it :. It may be unoriginal even within my own videos , but it's a hobby and I wanted to do it I just like it..

Unlike Western cartoons, Japanese anime often shows mature content on-screen.

Granted, Gaea has some generic fantasy features, such as dragons and knights, but it also has some really cool anime twists. The knights, for example, commandeer giant robot armour suits and flying vessels.

Yenya's World

Considered one of the most important animated epics made for television, The Vision of Escaflowne was a daring anime that took production scale to a whole different level. I remember how captivated I was, as a ten-year-old, from its bolder and edgier vision, not knowing that the show was edited. We will explore the film version at a later time. At the beginning of the series, we are introduced to Hitomi Kanzaki, an ordinary high school girl who likes reading fortunes while searching for love on her own. One night, as she wagers to beat the record of her track-team captain to confess her love to him, a young swordsman named Van, who she saw in a mysterious vision, appears fighting a dragon as per his rite of ascension to become a king.

User Reviews

My first experience with The Vision of EscaFlown e , which shall hereafter just be called Escaflowne , was as a kid in… junior high, I think. Several episodes aired on Saturday mornings on Fox Kids. I knew from the start that I was missing something, because the supposed first episode began with a summary of the real first episode. Still, it was interesting, had action and tragedy and mystery and such, and the mechanical armor of the knights was a nice touch. After a few weeks, though, it stopped airing, and my interest in the ending was in vain. Then, a number of years later, I happened to get my hands on a DVD with the last few episodes of the series, and it was great!

The Vision of Escaflowne (天空のエスカフローネ/Tenkuu no Escaflowne). I first seen this anime aired on Fox Kids during my highschool years.

Based on two different manga adaptations the series is set under the genres of adventure, fantasy, mecha and romance with even a hint of the magical girl genre thrown in for good measure. The series focuses on the life of high school girl named Hitomi Kanzaki who from the beginning we are told has special powers and psychic abilities. Her adventures begin when she is ripped from her own world Earth to the planet of Gaea where she appears in front of a mysterious boy named Van battling a dragon. Gaea, a planet where the Earth and its moon can be seen in the sky.

Only Yesterday depicts a young woman who feels alienated and dissatisfied with city life, and as the movie examines her adolescence, it becomes clear that she has never truly felt at home. Taeko felt misunderstood by her sisters and stifled by her loving but overly stern father.

However The Lover also carries meanings around beliefs and values that are a perfect touch at the end of the series.
