I traveled across a dimension inside the toilet and arrived at a strange, new land. They told me that I was their King because of my black hair, eyes, and clothes. That I had the spirit of their Demon King and they have been waiting for my return. They need my power to help destroy all human enemies of their kingdom. After arriving at the castle, I kinda slapped Wolfram for insulting my human mother.
It turned out that was their way of proposing marriage among the nobles! After so many years of never having a girlfriend, I am now engaged to a guy! I then agreed to become the new Demon King, so that I can change their ways of solving problems in hope to prevent an all out war between the humans and the demons.
Oh and also, according to Conrad and the others, I can also transform into my true Demon King form whenever I feel great anger. Which is kind of weird for me because I don't remember it at all! Also,in this form, I can summon great magic even in human territories. I always passed out after this transformation.
Wolfram: Talk about being wimp Yuri: I am not a wimp! Yuri: Oh that blond guy that looks like Wolfram? The one my other form is holding? He's Shinou. He likes pranking people sometimes. And he's favorite hobby? Annoying Muratta. Shinou: Hey there my double-black maou!

Kyou Kara Maou or Kyo Kara Maoh English version is a story about a 15 years old boy named Yuri, who got flushed down the toilet and ended up in an another world. He then became the new king of the demon race and found himself engaged to another boy and he was the one who proposed, unknowingly!
His mission is to stop an all out war between the demon race and the human race. Kyou Kara Maou is a mixture of fantasy, role-playing, drama, shounen-ai, and most of all comedy. This series flushed its main character down the toilet in the very first episode, so don't take any thing in it seriously.
If you're looking for a series with a great plot and keeps you on the edge of your seat, then Kyou Kara Maou is NOT what you're looking for. If you're looking for a series that makes you laugh and has cute, likeable characters, then you have come to the right place. This show has a lot of silly moments, cute animals, gay jokes, pretty people, and the most useless demon sword ever.
Out of all the main characters, the only "normal" characters seem to Conrad and Adalbert. The rest are for comic relief. I won't trade being maou for anything in the world.

There, he is told that he will become the next Demon King due to his black hair and black eyes, traits only possessed by the demon's royal lineage. However, after Yuri wins a duel by utilizing his magical powers, the demons slowly begin to acknowledge him as their monarch. Yuuri is a high school aged boy with black hair and eyes, which the Mazoku people call soukoku meaning double black. Yuuri is a cheerful, baseball-loving, idealistic, naive, emotional, and likable Demon King who dislikes war and conflict. Everyone who disapproved of him first somehow became drawn to him most likely due to his warm personality and determination to bring change to the world. He most often believed that anything can be solved if people took the time to understand each other, and always attempted to prevent any battle or conflict to happen while he's around.
