Best marvel cartoons on disney plus gratis

The best shows on Disney Plus aren't hard to come by. There's plenty of choice on the platform, but this can mean it's often a difficult task to choose your next binge-watch. The most recent addition to our list is Obi-Wan Kenobi , which follows the Jedi master through the events that occurred between the Star Wars prequels and the original trilogy. That's not the only trip to the galaxy far, far away that this list takes either, with Star Wars Rebels and The Clone Wars also making an appearance. Plus, there's plenty more animation in the form of The Simpsons, Phineas and Ferb, and more. And that's just the beginning.

Disney Plus: everything you need to know about the streaming home for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, NatGeo

Links on Android Authority may earn us a commission. Learn more. Disney Plus launched in with lots of films to watch from its Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, over 20 films in the MCU have been released, and most have been huge box office hits. Nearly all of them have been released on Disney Plus. The good news is that most of the upcoming MCU lineup for and beyond will also eventually make their way to Disney Plus. However, we decided not to add them to our main list as they are not officially part of the MCU movies.

You can sign up with the link below. This was a huge misfire by Marvel Studios. It tried to introduce a new group of superhumans that represented a diverse cast of characters. The problem was that the movie itself was so very boring. Most of the Eternals are as dull as toast as characters, and while the action sequences were good, they were also brief, and too few of them in the plot.

The good news is that the two end credit sequences set up some interesting storylines and characters for future Marvel movies. Otherwise, this is perhaps the one Marvel Cinematic Universe movie on Disney Plus you can pretty much skip. Robert Downey Jr.

We also get a standout performance from Florence Pugh as her sister Yelena Belova, and David Harbour is both funny and tragic as the Russian super-soldier the Red Guardian. The evil robot AI Ultron, played via motion capture by James Spader, is certainly a powerful villain. We also get to see one of the better action sequences in the MCU at the end of the flick. Super skinny Steve Rogers takes the super-soldier serum to become Captain America and uses his new abilities to fight The Red Skull, a former Nazi scientist who has gone rogue and created his own Hydra army.

The movie itself has lots of Saturday afternoon movie serial action, and we get some great performances from Chris Evans as Rogers, and Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull. This movie also sets up lots of storylines that will be followed up on in other MCU movies and TV shows. The first Thor movie turned Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston into movie stars as the Asgardian thunder god Thor and the mischievous adopted brother Loki, respectively.

Odin sends him to Earth as punishment and takes away his God-like powers. As with many Disney Plus Marvel movies on this list, the release of Iron Man in was considered a risk.

He was also headlining the first film from Marvel Studios, which wanted more control of its characters in movies. Directed by John Favreau, Iron Man was a breath of fresh air in superhero movies. Downey Jr. He creates the Iron Man suit, partially out of necessity, to combat the use of his own weapons.

The final result is a movie that is very faithful to the Marvel source material and takes it in new directions. The final post-credit sequence is also significant as it shows the true beginning of the interlinked Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The follow-up to the first Captain America movie gets more serious and very political.

As it turns out, his concerns are justified, but for totally different reasons. Did we mention Robert Redford is in the movie? We decided to group these two movies because neither one deviates in terms of quality. The first film is a comedy-heist movie that centers on Scott Lang. Played by Paul Rudd, Lang is a second-grade thief who manages to get a hold of a suit that can shrink him down to just a few inches or even smaller.

Ant-Man used its concept of a shrinking man better than anyone ever imagined. Hope becomes another shrinking hero, the Wasp, in this movie.

Combined with an excellent supporting cast and clever scripts, these films are two of the best Disney Plus Marvel movies. Do you want a really different-looking entry in the Disney Plus Marvel movies lineup? Look no further than this release. Doctor Stephen Strange is looking for a way to fix his hands, which were heavily damaged in an automobile accident. His quest takes him to Tibet, where he learns that magic is real.

Doctor Strange gets a crash course in learning the mystic arts because a renegade group of magic-users wants to take over the world. The movie portrays magic and its effects like no other film. Marvel Studios took its time to release its first female solo superhero film.

The release was worth it for the most part. However, Vers slowly learns the truth about herself, the Kree, and the Skrulls. In short, her life is a lie, and she soon figures out her true heritage, her massive powers, and her mission as human Carol Danvers. Captain Marvel is also technically the only other period movie in the MCU, set mainly in the s. That means lots of great references and music. Plus, we get to see Nick Fury before he showed up at the end of Iron Man. The end result is an entertaining space adventure that happens to be down to Earth.

It also sets up some things for Avengers: Endgame. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Released in , it manages to be both an intimate character study and a huge epic space adventure. However, Peter gets the shock of his life when his father Ego shows up.

However, it would not be a movie without some conflict. Peter and the rest of the Guardians soon learn the truth about Ego and his plans for the universe. This was a pleasant surprise, as we were introduced to the first Asian-themed MCU hero. Simu Liu is great as the title character, a man who wants to live an ordinary life with his friends in the US.

However, his father, played to perfection by Tony Leung, wants his son back to be his right-hand man in his criminal organization. There are some excellent action and fight sequences in this movie, and we hope to see a lot more of Shang-Chi in future Marvel films on Disney Plus. Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe concluded with this huge epic film co-written and directed masterfully by Joss Whedon. Characters and storylines linked and combined for the past four years finally came together, and it was completely seamless.

The film could have been a convoluted mess. However, thanks to some clever writing and directing from Whedon, it became the comic book epic we had been waiting for. The final post-credit scene is just a taste of things to come. After several years of releasing MCU films with fairly well-known characters, this movie was considered a risk. Almost no one outside of comic book readers had heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Also, this was not really a superhero movie; it was a space fantasy film. The director and co-writer used the tapestry of the MCU to create this tale of some very mismatched and damaged characters. Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot all team up to fight off a maniac who wants to kill everyone on the planet Xandar. Guardians of the Galaxy meets and somehow exceeds Star Wars as a great space fantasy movie.

This is easily the best of the three Thor stand-alone movies. Chris Hemsworth offers his best performance as the God of Thunder, who, in the space of the opening few minutes, loses his dad Odin, sees his hammer destroyed, and then has to avoid being killed by his previously unrevealed sister Hela Cate Blanchett.

While she is taking over Asgard, Thor and Loki find themselves on a planet where gladiatorial contests are the main entertainment. He wants to take over Wakanda and use its technology to exact revenge on a world he believes has belittled him and his race. Killmonger is a great villain because he has some interesting points to make, even if you might not like his methods for solving these issues.

The final result is a clash of fists and ideals, pitting Cap and his group against Iron Man and his team. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are really just two parts of the same massive five and a half hours superhero epic. Infinity War is the story of the main villain Thanos, played terrifically with some motion capture animation by Josh Brolin.

The Avengers try to stop him from accessing the six Infinity Stones, which Thanos needs to carry out his task. Endgame reveals the aftermath of the first battle between The Avengers and Thanos. The first third of this three-hour movie is a post-apocalypse film, followed by a heist movie in the second third.
