Later, Tom and Jerry perform for the emperor's court. When a duckling becomes separated from his mama duck, Jerry rescues the duckling from a hungry Tom. The kitchen floor is an ice skating rink and Tom still chases Jerry despite the slippery surface.

A baby duck gets confused and thinks Tom is its mother but Jerry tries to convince it otherwise as the cat tries to make a meal of the duckling. Tom's fraidy cat cousin comes for a visit and Jerry takes advantage of the cowardly feline.
Jerry uses a young mousketeer as an errand boy to deliver to his love letters, but Tom stands in the youth's way. Tom frames the bulldog, Spike, for stealing food from the fridge but Jerry uses photography to prove Spike's innocence. Jerry and his singing duck friend discover the delights of vanishing cream while Tom suffers because of it. A sneaky alley cat uses a ventriloquist device to trick an angry bulldog into believing he is in many different places.
