Lord knows I had my reservations about the entire affair. Trying to do something with these characters outside of the short cartoon format where they were at their best has always been risky; with one or two exceptions like say, Taz-mania , the less said about efforts like Loonatics Unleashed, Space Jam or Looney Tunes: Back in Action, the better. But in brief, my personal reaction to the first episode… The Looney Tunes show works.
I like this show — a lot, as a matter of fact. The candy store was the one in Brooklyn my parents ran, the one I grew up in. My favorite part of the store was the wall holding shelf after shelf of comic books. Other kids bought the things, but those shelves were my personal lending library. This was back in the day when almost every high-profile cartoon character had their own comic book, courtesy of Dell Comics and later on Gold Key.
Did you know the Road Runner had three kids and a wife? And not unlike Donald and company, Bugs broke out of his seven-minute cartoon mode to star in more narrative-driven tales. My youthful, precocious mind saw no conflict between the two versions: they went on adventures in the comics and indulged in slapstick gags in the cartoons. The answer for Daffy of course, is not all that well. Their opponents: Mac and Tosh, the no-longer-so-ambiguously gay gophers who own the local antiques shop. I really appreciate how story editor Hugh Davidson, exec producer Sam Register and company have reimagined the skunk. Just about the entire classic WB menagerie is back as well, their basic personalities intact but with more detailed backstories. Joe Strike has written about animation for numerous publications.

When Bugs loses his gloves, the motorcycle gloves he gets as a replacement lead him to the life of a rebel. Meanwhile, Daffy is accidentally hired as a college professor. Votes: Porky decides to run a marathon, threatening Daffy's definition of everyone's roles in their circle of friends. After all, if Porkyis the jock, then who is Daffy? Plus, Yosemite Sam tries to get his guns back. The fair comes to town! Daffy enters a hot dog-eating contest to try and win the title "Mr. Weiner" and Bugs gets roped into helping Yosemite Sam attempt to jump a school bus over a row of motorcycles.

The animated musical will follow an exhausted Bugs Bunny who has been starring in a long-running Looney Tunes Broadway show and makes the decision to exchange his day to day of sold-out shows for a quiet life as a normal rabbit. On the other hand, Daffy Duck, always the spotlight opportunist, tries to take Bugs' place in the lead role. However, his star ambitions are taken off track when he is kidnaped by an obsessive fan who has other plans for her favorite stage duck. With his Broadway retirement in danger, Bugs goes on a rescue mission to find Daffy and, with the help of the rest of his Looney Tunes friends, hopefully, restore his joy in performing on the stage. Described as a family movie event, Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical will include original dynamic song and dance numbers and new orchestrations from the Warner Bros.

Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny are watching a game show which Daffy tries to guess the answers to. After the opening, the two males are eating Chinese when Daffy runs in with an advertisement for a game-show entitled Besties. He gets the idea that he can win this show, but he needs a friend to compete with him when he suddenly drops the dumpling he was about to eat. Going to retrieve it he picks up Speedy Gonzales with the hand vacuum when after a small convincing, Bugs decides to compete. However, he points out that Daffy knows nothing of him.
