There's something about being scared as a kid that's kind of entrancing. Courage the Cowardly Dog was always a show that gave me nightmares , but it also captivated my young mind in a way I couldn't describe. It was the definition of finding something so strange you just want to look away from it, but you can't. Despite being a children's show, there were definitely some creepy Courage the Cowardly Dog episodes that our parents should not have let us watch at such a young age. I was a huge scaredy cat as a kid and had no tolerance for anything even remotely spooky, so I'm not really sure how I managed to watch every episode of this as a kid. Still, it continues to be one of my favorite cartoons.

TV show description: Created by John R. Dilworth, this animated series began as a short film which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Courage lives in a farmhouse near the fictional town of Nowhere, Kansas. His parents were sent into space by and evil veterinarian. I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really miss this show. I am a 15 year and I still watch courage and I think that if they bring it back people will love it because I have found the series of courage and I still laugh with my family.
My son and I still watch him on boomerang everyday! It would be wonderful if they would make new episodes and create it they same way. All the new shows are sucky. I get that the creative energy has ended for this character, but why stop the reruns. The graphics alone are better than any of the garbage that cartoon network has to offer. I really miss this show.
I have all the seasons downloaded and I watch them all at least once every 2 months. They need to bring it back, not for the newer generation to watch but for all those fans of the older one. I miss Courage! I wish they would bring it back!

I was speaking with a friend recently and we were talking about dog cartoons — because well, that is how we roll! She actually brought up a cartoon called Courage the Cowardly Dog that was on years ago — and man that brought back some good memories! The cartoon ran for 4 seasons from — and had a total of 52 episodes. It was what we would call a dark comedy that revolved around a dog named Courage who almost seemed human like in many ways.
