Black Clover Episode 13 Review
Standing on the border between banishment and belief, Dazu turns vengeful when the Magic Knights fail to protect Tiulyu. Resentment grows throughout the Common Realm, and the Wizard King knows that unity is the only way to survive the impending war. A group of masked vigilantes calling themselves the Devil Vanishers is ambushing and abducting those they believe to be in service to the devil.
Asta is in a deep sleep as a contingent of Black Bulls searches for the kidnapped Marie and Secre. Julius offers both a promising lead and a warning. The search for Marie and Secre continues, stymied by villagers who resent the Magic Knights' inaction during the elf invasion.
Time for a new plan. Marie and Secre face execution in the public square for their purported dealings with the devil. The Magic Knights spring into action to rescue them. Asta and friends search for Secre, abducted by a group of magic-poor people who believe the power of the devil can change their lives for the better.
Asta approaches the Devil Believers, intent on talking things out as they near the Spade Kingdom--and the mighty devil dwelling within its borders. A cohort of the mightiest Magic Knight captains intercepts the Devil Believers to dissuade them from their journey.

Grey asks her Black Bull squadmates for help overcoming her shyness. Julius gets an idea. Two teams of Magic Knight captains put on an outrageous display of power as they're pitted against each other in a new take on the Royal Knights test. Last year's new recruits attend the Magic Knights Entrance Exam and reflect on the year gone by. Vangeance returns something that belongs to Yuno.

Black Clover - Episode 13 (Spoilers!) - ODT (3/10/18)
After a couple of episode focusing on Asta's progress as a newly recruited Magic Knight, the Japanese shonen anime series, "Black Clover," is shifting its focus to Yuno, who has been recruited into the elite Golden Dawn Squad. The previous episode picked up on the mugging of the old lady in the castle town and went on to reveal that the seemingly helpless old lady was actually none other than the Wizard King himself in disguise, who has taken a special interest in Asta and wanted to closely observe his anti-magic abilities. Following this incident, the scene shifted to Yuno, who has just been sent on his first mission together with Golden Dawn veterans Claus and Mimosa. They have just been tasked to escort Salim, a participant of the Magic Knight Entrance Exam whom Yuno defeated during the final round. And while it seemed strange for Yuno to be sent to on this mission, it was later revealed that Salim himself has requested to have him as a bodyguard in order to apologize.

Sister has been taken. Yuno, goes against orders and duels each kidnapper in order to rescue, Sister. Once the truth was out, the three reunite and take down the final kidnapper. In the end, Sister, was unharmed. As for Salim, his noble house has all but crumbled due to his actions. Additionally, the team is awarded a star for their heroics. Yuno, has again widen the gap between Asta and himself.

Vanica departs for the Spade Kingdom, hostage in tow. Asta communes with his inner devil for a diabolical boost in the fight with Yami against Dante. Asta hits a wall in his training, while Mereoleona puts Yami through the wringer. A group of resistance members attempts to escape the Spade Kingdom. As part of his training, Asta tells his instructor how he earned his grimoire, learned to read ki, and began to channel and control the devil's power. The newly trained Magic Knights spring into action to save exploited villagers in a Spade Kingdom fortress as it approaches the Heart Kingdom border.

It got even more suspicious when Salim , who is allegedly being targeted by bandits, suddenly decided to make a stopover at the orphanage where Yuno grew up in! Sure, it was a good chance to catch up with his family, and it let the party take a rest for a while.
