I swear, if this isn't the most underrated anime I've ever seen, I don't know what is. Let's get into it Hitsugi No Chaika is based around a young sorceress named Chaika. She has no memories of her past except that her father was Emperor Gaz, infamous ruler of the Gaz Empire. With Emperor Gaz's reign brought to an end, Chaika goes on a quest to collect his body parts, which were given to the heroes that slayed him, in order to give him a proper burial.

Top review. I went into this with low expectations but after watching it, i must say that it is a very enjoyable and well done anime.
The character designs are well done, the pacing of the story is great and filled with suspense especially the second season , the story itself is intertesting, the method of using magic was unique along with their depictions of fantasy beasts and Chaika , herself, is a character you really develop feelings for. A pretty and charming year old sorceress named Chaika Trabant, who carries a coffin on her back, is surprisingly adept in casting high-precision spells, but she has no memory of her past. The only thing she knows is to gather the scattered remains of Emperor Gaz. Toru Acura is a Saboteur who relies on his adoptive sister, Akari for their food. After the fall of Gaz Empire, he finds it difficult to land a job until he meets Chaika in the woods, and agrees to help her accomplish her quest along with Akari. The unlikely trio sets on the journey with a clear goal in mind, unaware of the dangerous truth. Country: Japan.

For years, the Taboo Emperor, Arthur Gaz, ruled the Gaz Empire with an iron fist and conducted inhumane experiments on his own people. But his reign came to an end five years ago, when mighty warriors—later known as the Eight Heroes—defeated him in a battle for the capital. His death ended the yearlong war between the Gaz Empire and the alliance of six nations. In the present day, Tooru Acura is a former saboteur from the war who has difficulty settling into the peaceful world, as he cannot find a job where he can put his fighting skills to use. An opportunity appears before him, however, when he meets a white-haired Wizard named Chaika Trabant. With a coffin on her back, she is searching for the scattered remains of her father in order to give him a proper burial, and she hires Tooru and his adoptive sister Akari to help her.

The Coyote Ragtime Show is an upcoming anime from ufotable. However, the government wants to destroy the planet because of the war there. The BG music sounds more like something from Cowboy Bebop. Nice looking animation and the character designs are interesting. The one mean looking girl with the white hair looks like someone merged together Paine and Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2, lol.
Hey, reader! This coffin, by the end of the first season, also happens to safely hold the individual limbs of here once alive father who was the lands greatest wizard and one hell of a tyrannical warlord. As a loving daughter, all Chaika wants to do is collect her fathers limbs from the group of warriors that literally separated the man so that she can give him a proper burial, BUT these dismembered body parts also happen to feature some serious magical energy which makes these legendary heroes doubt her seemingly legitimate intentions. How exciting!
