Dragon Ball FighterZ players have seen Ultra Instinct Goku teased a few times since Bandai Namco confirmed that the most powerful version of Goku yet would be joining the fighting game, and the community now knows when they'll be able to play as him now that a release date has been set. Ultra Instinct Goku will arrive in Dragon Ball FighterZ as an extra fighter on May 22nd for those who want to buy him as a standalone character, but those who already have the FighterZ Pass 3 to get all the DLC fighters will be able to have him two days earlier. The upcoming release of Ultra Instinct Goku planned for later this month was announced on Wednesday by Bandai Namco with a new trailer featuring the character accompanying the news. Goku's got several different forms in the game already highlighting some of his biggest moments throughout the Dragon Ball franchise with that buildup finally leading up to his most powerful form.

The roster of Dragon Ball FighterZ is pretty robust, giving players more than 20 characters to punch, kick and kamehameha in offline and online play. However, t a few of them are not available when players first boot up the game. Out of the 23 playable characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ , three need to be unlocked through the Story and Arcade modes. Bandai Namco announced Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Vegeta will be included free for those who pre-order the game, but you can also unlock them in other ways.

To unlock the main villain of the Dragon Ball FighterZ story mode, players simply have to finish all three story arcs. Goku is one of the easiest fighters to play as in Dragon Ball FighterZ , but players can actually unlock another form of the classic character.

After Gohan died, Goku was left to fend for himself in the desert until he came across a young woman named Bulma. When Bulma discovers that one of the elders of the city has a Dragon Pearl, she says that Goku will take care of this monster in exchange for the sphere. The townspeople agree, and Goku prepares to fight a terrifying monster known as Oolong. When Oolong arrives to steal more young women from the city, Goku disguises himself as a woman, and when Oolong tries to kidnap him, Goku gets into a fight and challenges the monster to a fight. Knowing that he is no match for Goku, Oolong retreats.

He is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series. Born "Kakarot", Goku was sent to Earth shortly before the Saiyan race was driven to extinction by Frieza. Found and cared for by martial artist Son Gohan, and brought up by the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi, Goku would eventually grow into a young man, with both a burning passion for testing his might against other fighters and a strong sense of justice. However, his ceaseless lust for battle would endanger himself, his friends, his planet, and even his universe, but through these hardships he has pushed himself further and further beyond, unlocking the legendary power of Super Saiyan after his friend, Krillin, was killed by Frieza. Even under constant threats, Goku has stepped up, pushing himself in order to protect his friends or correct his mistakes, and always hoping for another fun challenge in the future.

Dragon Ball FighterZ – How to Perform a Dramatic Finish

The Dragon Ball series has found ways to evolve over the years and extend its story, but each fresh development requires increasingly powerful characters who now have access to godly reservoirs of power. Goku unveils his Super Saiyan 2 form for the first time and the power is so immense that Yakon explodes. The Ginyu Force represent the perfect mix of silly and dangerous and despite their theatrics, they pose a major challenge for Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin on Planet Namek.
