The first, admired and liked by her classmates, hides the fact that she's the main houseworker and caretaker to her brother due to her parents ' frequent absence.

The originality of this manga stems from its lack of drama and problems; here lies only sweetness and calm.
The plot is one of daily life and encounters where Machida displays his helpful nature without any exaggeration. As he interacts with people and experiences new situations, he learns more about himself and his feelings.
The character development is fantastic, the story is well written, and the manga feels genuine and touching. Romance doesn't play a central role but instead acts as an important piece of the overall plot. At first glance, this seems like another love triangle story. At second glance, it still is, but with much more depth than what you'd expect. This manga takes a deep dive into the concept of friendship and relationship, self-perceptions, sexuality, and morality. The story revolves around Taichi Ichinose, Touma Mita, and Futaba Kuze, each character receiving a great deal of development, and the overall plot going in a direction you would not expect it to.
Unluckily, their crushes fall for each other instead. Determined to find new love, they decide to cheer each other on while maintaining their usual dynamic of constant bickering. Although they continually deny it, Risa and Ootani are more similar than they like to admit: they both have unusual heights, failing grades, identical tastes in food, and a tendency to act extremely childish. Together, they inspire laughter among their peers as a so-called comedic duo. Lo and behold, in walks, Ichinose Ren, the quiet but popular boy at her school, whom she catches feelings for, confesses to, and promptly gets rejected.
The strong point of Strobe Edge is not in the originality of its story but instead in its depiction of the ebbs and flows of love and heartache: unspoken feelings, confession, anger, sadness, acceptance, and ultimately perhaps, letting go and starting anew.

Ore Monogatari!! Ore Monogatari is a breath of fresh air and originality in the romance genre. While the female love interest is cute and checks all the usual boxes, the male love interest is not handsome at all, a particularity in mangas.
But, what is more interesting than that is his complete lack of 'toxic masculinity' traits: despite his intimidating physique and look, he is kind and soft, emphasizes communication, always treats people right, and is willing to learn. This manga manages to replace the toxicity of the romance genre with comedy, tugging of the heart, cuteness, and well-crafted drama, which is a welcomed change. As he cannot fully control his powers, he sometimes turns his environment into the Arctic, making it snow whenever he is in deep concentration or lowering the temperature and turning things into ice whenever he is in turmoil.

I know, I had the same so that's why I don't like the other guys. I actually liked the message Junko got with Igarashi falling for her with her old self because then he liked his personality and you have a contrast of the characters who likes her just physically and even called him crazy for saying how much Serinuma looked cute in her old self xD Nanashima with the shota of the turn makes her get back to thin by making her do exercise with the regard they'd do yaoi things for her. And she stayed thin until some chapters later from what I read, I stopped cause the time. I understand your point very well, I just hope Junko gets to pull off the characters well and give a good message that the inside is what matters and not the external things Lol I dunno, while the yaoi fanatic character as a main was funny, I think I'll stick to Pochamani by Hirama Kaname for doing a better job as far as having a heavy set main character. Even though the love interest being a fat fetishist was creepy, and it certainly wasn't an amazing comic, at least the main female was adorable. But more power to you for being able to get into that comic, you are certainly less of a crotchety bag than I am. I haven't read that one, I'll check it out Nah, if you don't like something none can force you to read it, I'm sometimes too picky but in shoujo I guess I'm not that picky and it's the genre in which I actually SHOULD be.
