Naruto Shippuden takes place a few years after the conclusion of Naruto. It has a lot of brilliant arcs that kept fans hooked to the series. One of the best arcs in the series is the Pain's Assault arc.

When Supermassive adds a multiplayer mode to The Quarry, GameCentral talks to the director about the difficulty of making an interactive horror movie. Currently Supermassive Games makes interactive movies. A horror with the emphasis on filming and binary decisions, it was a huge hit and despite falling out with Sony, a series of Dark Pictures and last month The Quarry began. The Quarry had plenty of multiplayer options when it was launched, but now its added Wolf Pack mode via a free update.

An invite-only mode where everybody plays the game as normal and up to seven others watch, while the player is sitting on the other side of the player. The clever ideas change the way you experience the game and create new ways for people that would never normally play video games.

GC: Why have you characterised this as the spiritual successor of the Until Dawn and not any other The Dark movie series, evidenced from the fact that they all work similarly? The quarry is about eight to 10 hours depending on the game you play it. All of them are charming characters, causing their teens a teen horror. If you remember the beginning of the Until Dawn, they are all really wonderful, baring perhaps Sam. The journey you travel through with those characters has redemptive arcs and real development.

And a large part of it concerns the hierarchy of needs of Maslows. You have these very self-actualised, self-obsessed teenagers, all a moment of whimpering around and they all fly by, and then you throw stuff at them until these things get better. It does not matter who wins these games. You can, if you let everybody survive, to survive its kind of defeat, but when the dullest version of a horror movie, like this one.

You should not always make any changes? What choices do you know do. And that is a bit more horrifying. But, then, why are we all so lucky? Horror has its traditions and fans like to see them followed. I often try to use archetypes and what is a little more positive word. However cliche is the right word and even the words of Joseph Campbell have always been back.

We had to keep out the drugs with it again, partly because, yeah, oh, right, there is a large anti-sowie in California, where all is legal but something I think is partly because games are inherently associated with the entertainment industry, that there is a censorship and no more censorship — not so much of a movie.

We got a set of relationships in there that are gay, so there is a gay character in there, and a scene in the fire pit is really astonishing. But there is a very bad game or a crazy game.

The reason we want people to kiss each other is for the players, which is why it plays out. So again, this kind of sexuality would be ideal for the abuse of sexuality. And, with the final girl, we did a thing where very early on I always do this thing when I write this thing in which he writes is, and is a person whose character is as beautiful as him or herself, it might be a messenger, sometimes, there are princess characters that princess characters are a boy.

Unfortunately its horror that we just wanted to try to dissociate everyone. But if they were all nice, that would end the story. They would just sit there for the rest of the evening. And then I noticed what happened to the first time, and, with the way we try to write it, that people go over it with their attention so they leave the world.

She has no malice, but a hard bone in her body. Yet, as you read through, she starts to take a step closer. She has shown that she is overcompensating for things. But then I get to enjoy Until Dawn. Well, so we did some great work to reach that many people as little as possible. In fact, the fact that I was very uncomfortable is having quick time events, which are often mapped to buttons that are well-read by gamers.

I think non-gamers are all that good and punitive. So to prevent peoples stories being done because of failure of skill they never knew they needed so they simplified that down.

And even then, in the menu, you can go, you make it super easy. The same thing applies to virtually all the interactive parts of the game, notwithstanding the choices.

So you can dial those down and essentially just go to theater. I just want a single human to do with a film. I watch that through. Obviously we take a dive and dive. The choice is somewhat different from that version. There are no other people dying in their own lives. And, of course, some of the deaths are pretty groggy. There is that version theres even, a thing called the directors chair, where you can go to every character and there are four attributes, like clumsy or adroit or indecisive.

And it will be as simple as having the presets to the choice that would have been had you had an interaction. You can watch this movie by sitting. GC: So is it a sense that this would be something similar to Until Dawn, that is in terms of more traditional horror experiences? Now that has no humour and a lot of gore, so the stuff is not really frightening. On the left side is something like Ghostbusters, it is so funny, rather, not very gory, not very scary, but not really.

Now you have all those out there. But you always amaze me how good your graphics are. And yet when you have all the actors there did you imagine that it would just be a movie instead of having the CG?

WB: Weirdly, it makes loads. Because of the huge differences, it would be so difficult that I can tell you how much better it is for me and perhaps cheaper. Even the biggest difference is we need either green-screen and do it like Mandalorian or just create larger sets.

If you miss one of them and you fall over, you get mud on your face. The policeman Ted Raimi come in and they get rescued by him. You just fool him off, because he feel insulted. It would be a very narrow choice. So, with the number of variables, literally no one will ever play the same game twice — unless they literally do the same on purpose. And that means you get a lot more rich, I think. But having said that, who knows the future. That is the biggest reason that I think was still keeping it to the way it is.

Since it was just about facial animation and stuff, we went to Digital Domain, which are really amazing.
