Two years ago, Tachibana Junichi got his heart broken by a girl who didn't show up for a date on Christmas Eve. Now a second year student in high school, Junichi spends his days inside his closet planetarium, going to school and hanging out with his friends Tanamachi Kaoru and Umehara Masayoshi. After a chance encounter with one of the most beautiful girls in school, the third year student Morishima Haruka, Junichi finds himself spending time with her, carrying books for her or having her unexpectedly jump on his back and act as she's a jockey and he's her horse.
Soon enough, Junichi becomes romantically interested in Haruka which leads to Amagami SS is based on a PS2 dating game featuring six different girls. The story of the anime will be arranged in an omnibus format, with each heroine getting her own version of the story animated. Each heroine will sing her own version of the ending theme song. It's been two years since Junichi was stood up on Christmas Eve, which has scarred his heart and made him wary of love. While buying lunch for his friends, he helps Sae, a friend of his sister, Miya, which catches the attention of the popular school idol, Haruka. Later that afternoon, he goes to the library to meet his friend Masayoshi but encounters Haruka again and helps carry her books while she teases him before leaving with her friend Hibiki. Junichi's interactions with Haruka makes him believe in love again, so one afternoon he confesses to her. Haruka rejects him but she admires his honesty. Because of Haruka's rejection, Junichi feels dejected and unable to sleep well. He goes to the infirmary to get some rest, but he unexpectedly finds Haruka resting there too. Despite what happened, Haruka is still interested with him which lifts his spirits up.

The series follows Junichi Tachibana, a second year high school student from Kibitou High who dislikes celebrating Christmas due to a past incident two years ago when his date stood him up on Christmas Eve which left him heartbroken. The anime adaptation is rather unusual as it is divided into several story arcs where each arc focuses on one of the main heroines who will become Junichi's love interest. The anime is also licensed and released in North America by Sentai Filmworks. A shy girl named Risa Kamizaki confesses to Junichi, which he later accepts and agrees to become her boyfriend, but she wants to keep their relationship a secret.

This is done so that all the girls have equal screen-time and all their fans will be satisfied. Our hero, Junichi Tachibana, has a problem. You see, a girl he liked stood him up on their date one Christmas Eve.

Junichi and Kaoru are picked up by a passing truck who's driver sends them to a nearby hot spring inn with a bus stop. As they both start to argue over who's fault for missing the bus, the truck driver comments and gives some advice for the couple. Arriving at the inn, both of them realize the inn looks haunted and with only both of them the only customers, Kaoru is scared of being alone that she asks Junichi to accompany her even at the baths. After having a meal and heading to bed, Kaoru confess to Junichi that she set up this trip as she wants to know where their relationship is heading but Junichi has fallen asleep. The next morning, Junichi learns he left his coin purse at the bus stop, leaving Kaoru to use almost all her money to pay for the inn bill. Both of them argue again with Kaoru blaming Junichi for being careless and him blaming her for on always buying limited-edition snacks, which both of them refuse to talk with each other to the bus stop.

However, as luck would have it, Junichi may have a second chance at love when he meets several girls whom he becomes romantically interested in: Haruka Morishima, the energetic and popular upperclassman with a love for cute things; Kaoru Tanamachi, his childhood friend who harbors secret feelings for him; Sae Nakata, the timid transfer student who is shy around men; Ai Nanasaki, a girl on the swim team who has a bad first impression of Junichi; Rihoko Sakurai, a childhood friend with a love for sweets; and Tsukasa Ayatsuji, a seemingly perfect class representative who has a hidden dark side.

To earn money to go on said trip, they join this troupe that does some Power Rangers actiony stuff. Kids and chicks love it. They get kicked out, but do earn a few bucks for their efforts. Yes, he is the same fellow I interviewed in an earlier post on Kanon As you can no doubt ascertain, the anime I was given to watch was Amagami SS. A series I was completely unaware of going into this event.
Searching for products Introduction MVM are bringing us two epic anime in a row both of which are adapted from videogames. You have a choice of romantic partners to pursue, and you follow that romance to its conclusion through the game, before starting again with another partner to reveal another story in the game. That way you at least get a flavour of the characters.
