That survivor was Five and she was taken into custody by the US Government, who obviously have turned her into their tool. He also says that two children escaped, Twelve and Nine.

He reveals that the drugs have an effect on the children and they will not live for long. I guess that explains the headaches that Five and Arata were getting throughout the show. I knew it! I wonder how many other officials that he was investigating before he was demoted were involved in the Athena Plan. Did they have a gun to your head saying you HAD to do it? People should have principals and should stick to them, even if it means getting fired from their jobs.

He finally makes it to where Lisa is being held, an amusement park. Lisa has a vest filled with explosives strapped to her and Toji has to defuse it in 8 minutes and 30 seconds.

The stress was so thick I could cut it with a butter knife. Five is a psychopath! Why is she enjoying this so much? I was sweating bullets at this part when he was defusing the bomb.

There was no way that he would be able to defuse every charge in the time that he was given. Five wanted to bargain with him to get him to tell her where he has the stuff they stole from the power plant. We actually learn that what was stolen was not plutonium but an atomic bomb being developed in secret by the Japanese government.

Omg when Lisa is apologizing for getting caught and Toji grabs her face I wanted them to kiss so badly!! She only have 3 minutes before the bomb goes off! Kiss her!!! The emotions during this scene were too much for me to handle. Lisa tells Toji to leave her and escape and reunite with Arata in order to complete their mission. She has accepted her fate. Oh cruel cruel world!! Such hard choices. In the end he tells her where the bomb is with two seconds to spare.

Oh man my heart was racing! Arata is retrieving the bomb when the police roll up to the school and he realizes that he told them where the bomb was. Did he escape with the bomb though? So I suppose their master plan has been ruined.

The police have custody of the atomic bomb now. Five passes out in the last scene, probably due to the effects of the drugs. It would be interesting. Will he go after Sphinx now or will he go after the government officials who were covering this up?

I could see her doing something crazy like that. I would have been so upset if that was the case. At least now we know why they are so smart.

I thought it would have been too much of a coincidence for them to know of and round up all these already genius children. It makes more sense for them to have created these geniuses. The tea cup spilling over when Hamura slammed the table was also really detailed.
