No caveats, no excuses, no ulterior motives. Utaha calls him Mr Ethical for a reason, you know. He's pretty much pathologically incapable of lying about these sorts of things.
This gets worse every episode. Before the random forced, out of place drama was already bad but this is a whole new level. There were so many things he could have said to defuse the situation but instead he just told her she sucks. And all the sudden being told she sucks into her face changed everything.
Now she doesn't hate him anymore and doesn't want to cut ties like 30 seconds ago anymore but now she just believes him and tries to please him. And then she demands an apology from him for being the one that hurt him so much. The writer makes stuff up just as he goes along. But one thing alone is lame, so how about adding some Ok done, what's next? They still gotta do the game together, how do I explain that they don't hate each others' guts and not even talk to each other?
Oh yeah, some shot with her being carried will do the trick, add some lines about comically saying they are still mad at each other and no one will notice the BS. In one fell swoop, Ethical laid down the hammer. You got the technical stuff down pat though.
We have entered an endless recursion of time. I honestly have no idea which girl he's going to wind up with at the end. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of those open ended "no girl is the winner" harem animes where the last episode is just random stupidity and doesn't resolve anything. With how much of a focus they're putting on Eriri, it seems like they'd be making him wind up with her.

Tomoya is described as a 'hardcore geek'. However, he is one of the three most notable students at Toyogasaki Academy, along with Utaha Kasumigaoka and Eriri Spencer Sawamura , due to his strong advocating of otaku culture at the school. Tomoya is a teenage otaku boy with straight black hair that covers his forehead and light blue eyes. The episode reflects a lot of realism and presents a lot of character growth in a short amount of time.
