12 Best Vampire Anime of All Time

If visuals appeal you, then this series is for you. If you believe in unfiltered kind of friendship, even if it can go bizarre, then also, you wouldn't mind watching this anime at all.

The world is divided between humans and vampires. A war breaks out between then but Fine, a vampire and Momo, a human, think they can co-exist. Are they right? Ever thought what would it be like if vampires and humans co-existed? Pretty sure you cannot even think about it because vampires thrive on human blood.

Vampire In The Garden explores this theme and while it is bizarre, this series is strangely appealing too. Vampire In The Garden goes high on visuals. The story is not the first thing that intrigues you. In fact, the plot moves very slowly and weirdly for an anime series. There is a back story that does not help this series in any way.

However, one simply cannot write off the series because even an iconic series like Attack On The Titan initially had a yawn story. Fine and Momo, as expected, make for quite the duo.

Their first meeting is something you might not forget even after the series is over. The dynamic duo gets into action everytime, which makes the series pretty interesting. The makers have focused on the visuals in this series. The slow motion-to-fast action really works too. As Momo and Fine go along with their journey, the two experience some traumatic events that shake them to the core.

That is a reality they are living. There is a back story which has been revealed and finally, the series makes some sense.

Even if it is a little too much, the series has some kind of an x-factor that makes you want to watch more of it. Be it the overtly-cute story or the grand visuals through VFX, Vampire In The Garden is appealing even if the story is not unexplored per say. Although, obviously, this anime isn't on that level, it has a certain charm to it. If you are one that likes visuals and overtly kawaii cute things, then you will like this series.

However, most will simply not want to go back and watch this anime again-and-again, unlike the other series out there. Vampire In The Garden review: This Japanese anime series is sufficient for one-time watch If visuals appeal you, then this series is for you.

There are plenty of examples of vampires in anime, but as vampires were imported to Japan through western literature, their vampires tend to be different from what a non-Japanese audience would expect. Whereas Chinese folk legend has the indigenous jiangshi , the Japanese supernatural tradition is notably free of blood- or lifeforce-sucking animated corpses. Being derived largely from Anglo-American twentieth-century pop culture, the Japanese vampire is based almost entirely on the " decadent aristocrat " stereotype rather than the shambling horrors of European folktales. They are usually "supernatural" rather than The Undead and, Christianity being rare in Japan, any religious elements will be used for coolness and exoticism rather than to show them as unholy and unnatural. Blood-sucking is more likely to be treated as a source of healing or superpowers rather than a physical necessity, and in some cases isn't even included. The Japanese vampire typically has very pale hair usually blonde, though white and lavender also work and bright red eyes. This may reflect the influence of Yoshitaka Amano 's illustrations for the Vampire Hunter D series and for the Japanese adaptations of Elric of Melnibone which stars a handsome Albino. It may also be part of the idea that vampires are European and will look like it. They also tend toward being and in some works exclusively are members of highly wealthy families, and usually reside in a Big Fancy House at the very least, and a massive ominous castle if possible. Half - vampires are common, and will not be happy about it.
