This year marks the 20th anniversary of Jackie Chan Adventures , one of the few celebrity-led animated series to have a long run on network TV. It was one of the few cartoons to embrace sweeping season-long arcs, and it had a very charming cast of characters led by Jackie Chan himself. However, that is a bit misleading, because Jackie didn't actually voice his animated counterpart. Instead, James Sie had the honor of portraying the fictionalized Jackie Chan, who was an archaeologist and martial artist who happened to go on globetrotting adventures alongside his niece, Jade, and his beloved Uncle Chan. Of course, Uncle Chan and Jade were fictional relatives, but we won't hold that against the show!

For decades, the Hong Kong-born action superstar has put his life on the line performing mind-boggling stunts, kung fu fights and acrobatic feats, racking up injuries along the way to virtually every part of his body. Even now, after all these years, the young kids still know me. More than movies. Even without my face, children recognize my voice.
When I was 20, I never think — I just do it. I need to jump through the wall? Whatever you can think, you can do it. I think with a cartoon you can have so much imagination.
Yes, of course. The action moves are not like when I was 20 years old. All those years, you still survived. Not easy. I believe I can do — not flipping, not the big stunts — but for another five or 10 years, I still can move. Whatever you can do today, you can do tomorrow. I think I will continue to do action films because action films are still popular around the world and also, for myself, I love to do action. I want to show the audience my age that I still can do a lot of things.
That would kill the whole movie. As an actor, I want to do anything I can. Singing, performing on the stage, even opera — I want to do everything. Before it was just: action star, kung fu star. I hope one day I can do a movie without one punch, totally just drama. It was tiring. I can do so many things.
I thought it was a dream. I make cheap kung fu movies, just making people laugh. I never thought I could get an Oscar. But once I put it in my home, then I forget. I just turn the page.

Adventurer Archaeologist Jackie Chan considers himself a normal, boring guy who lives with his Uncle at an antique shop in San Francisco and is frequently sent on expeditions for the local university. After being attacked by minions of The Dark Hand criminal organization, Jackie is contacted by a government organization called "Section 13," led by his old friend Captain Black.
