So in this story, Gae Bolg is a flying alien-like spear with missile launcher on its sides.

Certainly one way to make it unique and having Lugh facing off a younger Cu when he was known as Setanta is certainly amusing. If we're going by the legend, even a fcking ICBM won't be enough to truly kill Setanta so we might just get him more in future season. I looked it up and Wikipedia says Cu's dad's name is also Lugh? This can't be a coincidence lol. Santa McAss: Are you ready to duel?

You won't be able to block one attack with that little knife. I really like that the big fight was not a fight at all. This fits perfect to Lugh and this series. Just a calculated assault long planned. Yeah, I was glad they didn't have a traditional fight even though I'm sure many viewers probably wanted it as such. But I enjoyed seeing the lead-up and explanation of using the Orbital Bombardment technique just as much. Because I was truly surprised when that's what that countdown was all about.

Loved how massive that destruction and crater left by that attack was. That Lancer must have been totally disintegrated by it. But I did like how he also showed how a single man with one S-Rank skill and a Divine Object can become someone that even Lugh would not win against without using this overwhelming technique and managing to play on his personality to give him the time-delay needed to execute it.

And of course the Hero has 5 S-Rank skills and a few dozen A-Ranks, which goes to show what a monster he would be. Though there's no word at if the Demon Lord would presumably be near that level as well in order for the Hero to defeat him too. I had a hunch that when he launched the spear up into the sky, it'd come back down one way or another. Still very satisfying though. In the manga not sure about ln I believe it was a smaller spear that already was there that he just kinda kicked off the tower.

Made it way more surprising when it came down. Yeah, I'm glad they didn't have that bullshit where the carefully created plan doesn't work. Usually the plan fails and the hero has to continue the fight by activating some extra power with the magic of love or some nonsense.

Do you seriously think I'd explain my master-stroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting its outcome? I did it thirty-five minutes ago. According to him, it wasn't going to be a fight either way.

He just made sure the curbstomp came from him and not the other guy. I'm glad he wasn't the hero because there was close to no build up to the fight against him. He appeared and then died in the same episode. To be fair doesn't Lugh still have 3 years to kill the hero? Plus he wasn't suppose to kill the hero then anyways.

Hero has to save the world from demon king. Yeah, Lugh isn't a fighter or someone who draws out conflict, he's precise and methodical, and that duel showed that off quite well. Lugh was lucky enough to be against such a boastful and prideful opponent who'd spend time pontificating about things, that he could use that to his advantage to time the orbital strike correctly.

If Setanta had instead just went "Fuck U! I did like how that Lance of his, despite being CGI, actually looked very threatening and cool, and something that almost looks like an Alien high-tech object. Lugh did mention these objects were things that couldn't be made by human hands after all And it does seem interesting that the goddess herself sometimes seems to function like some sort of computer as well with how she initiates commands.

Ironically, the second skill that nullifies the Berserker cons fucked him up. I'm a little concerned over the fact we didn't see Setanta's dead body. He probably evaporated, but anime also has a tendency to bring back "dead" characters whose dead body was never shown. Also why do I get the feeling, given the hairstyle, that the hero is that assistant of the assassin? It would be kind of ironic if Lugh put all that time teaching the assistant and she ended up being used to kill him only for such a role reversal in this new world.

Don't forget the promise that Lugh made to the Goddess. It's ok to not kill the Hero as long as the world destruction could be averted. IIRC the assistant was an anime original character since episode 1 was anime original and so was episode So I doubt that will be the case. Ah didn't know she was anime original. There goes the theory I guess though then again they could still do it depending on how much the novels tell us about the hero.

Yeah, if the author was involved with those stories original to the show, those stories could then be relevant or appear later on the source material. When a tank fires a KEW at another tank, it strikes with so much energy that the armor of the tank turns into fluid for a pico-second. Now extrapolate that to Project Thor levels. I can't believe that fanservice episode was actually all according to Lugh's plan into making this Magic ICBM.

That kiss at the end is a really cute way to finish the series. Still can't believe how insane this was also written by the guy behind Redo Of Healer. Putting every plotline into one grandiose ending - that is what this makes an amazing series finale! Yeah Dia Magic experiment, the vacation, and lastly Tarte wind ability. Thats why they explained the Tarte magic so long because it was for this scene too.

I mean, both are pretty much in the same tier when it comes down to the technical writing skill and execution once you start to break down the characterisation, plot intricacy and depth of world building.

For World's Finest Assassin the building blocks of the story he was moving around were more palatable to many people, but the way he moved them about wasn't that intrinsically different to Redo of Healer.

It's just that for Redo of Healer he was deliberately trying to hit a certain market segments by combining revenge fantasies and sex ual assault. The author knows how to write interesting worlds and power systems, tho the healing power in RoH was busted af. There often are other stuff like whole bullshit of "he is so fast and agile but lacks power" is dumb as fuck.. A lot of stuff aren't really realistically congruent to their own world foundation in same universe of the story telling.

But also the main thing that was OP in that story wasn't even the "healing power" but his other "Cheat" skills. Why would it be limited to reconstructing rather than just allowing construct things that werent there to begin with, its not like it just accelerates the bodies natural healing, theres plenty of shit healing magic usually heals that the body cant even attempt to. Usually, when it come to healing, we just assume that heal can heal any injury, no matter how bad it is; then that's it, most people just gloss over the very mechanism of how this so called "healing" work.

SO, the author decide to pump it to 11, by making it that "healing" is straight up biology manipulation, he can manipulate the very biological structure of anything he touches. It's not their first kiss, but it was equally as sweet given everything they went through together. I love how the Beach Episode was all part of Lugh's training to make a nuke to kill the Hero. Lugh and Dia talking about a relationship of constantly paying each other back, which sounds like a marriage to me, and Lugh kissing Dia right there was the cherry on top.

Who expected the author of Redo of Healer to write a compelling romance about an assassin and his mage cousin? Tell me, are you resistant to physics? I would feel, like every bit of magic has limits though, but I do like anime premises where when they combine magic with actual scientific concepts which just make the magic even that more powerful once they understand that actual properties.

I liked Redo of a healer, I liked the dark sinister revenge plot the MC had, and the fan service was pretty good too if u caught it uncensored, basically hentai with an actual story. Edit: On second thoughts, having the enemy resort to orbital bombardment on you just proves how powerful this Sentanta is, still sad that he does not get a fair fight though.

Aaaand we're finally getting some tangible info on this mysterious Hero who's enough of a threat for the goddess to run a soul raffle. I love how Lugh was preparing to drop a Tungsten Spear on the Hero the whole time and then it turns out it wasn't even the real Hero and it's just this really young and kind looking kid who just appears after he went to all that work.

And this kid is going to ravage the world. At the very least, omitting some key details. Based on the opening and how she smiled in this episode, I want to say no, she seems kinda evil idk. I mean, even if she's evil the agreement was "I kill them and you let me live a normal life". I think he's gonna kill the hero even if he's not I have no idea how the hell he's gonna kill a goddess if she can manage souls, that's the problem.

Lough: "Well you see there was this one job where I had to impersonate a hacker, so I just did that with magic. Her being evil feels a bit hard to buy due to how their contract works. After all, she asked Lugh to save the world, not kill the Hero.

Here is my review:. At first I found Deca-Dence hard to follow. The unwary watcher such as myself must be forgiven for confusing the story with something like Mortal Engines. Much of it takes place in a giant mobile city traversing a barren post-apocalyptic world. What is fascinating about the series is that it has such strong characters, both human and digital.
