brother bear 2003

Kenai voiced by Joaquin Phoenix is a young Inuit man searching for his place in life. When his brother is accidentally killed, Kenai believes a bear is responsible and goes off seeking revenge. With the aid of a magical spell, Kenai is placed into the body of a bear to see how misunderstood the animals are. Along the way he teams up with a little cub named Koda voiced by Jeremy Suarez looking for his mom. I hate the body swapping premise with regards to animals — and I had problems with it in Brave — because true communication between these ruptured groups never happens.

Brother Bear is a animated film from Walt Disney Pictures about an Inupiat boy who pursues a Alaskan brown bear in revenge for a battle that he provoked in which his oldest brother is killed. He tracks down the bear and kills it, but the Spirits, angered by this needless death, change the boy into a bear himself to gain perspective.

Brother Bear/Brother Bear 2

Yeah, I find this film really underrated. Sure, the humor can get grating at times, but it's surprisingly charming, deep and spiritual. Add to Favourites. Great Mouse Detective. Family friendly but more for an adult. It's simple little narrative on hunters getting their comeuppance, it's saccharine bonding story and the lack of a real antagonist made this, to my mind, a dud from the get go.

Kenai, a man who resents bears after a fight with one kills his older brother, is turned into a bear so he can see life from a different perspective. He is visited by the spirit of his older brother, and is told that, if he wishes to be changed back into a human, he must travel to the place where the lights touch the Earth, in other words, the Northern Lights. Fueled by hope, Kenai sets off on his long journey, and, along the way, encounters a younger bear, Koda, who is a chatterbox and a fun-loving spirit; Koda is trying to find his way back to his home, the Salmon Run, which, coincidentally, is right next to where the lights touch the Earth. Koda and Kenai team up, but are hunted by Kenai's other brother, Denahi, who fears that the bear has killed Kenai as well. Along the way, the two bears meet other friends, including two moose, some rams, and some mammoths, with whom they hitch a ride. However, Kenai discovers that he likes being a bear, and realizes that humans aren't only afraid of bears; through Koda's eyes, the humans are the monsters, with their long spears. With a whole new view on life, Kenai makes a decision that will change his world forever. All subtitles: rating language release other uploader 0 English subtitle Brother.

Brother Bear (2003) – A Forgotten Disney Gem

Disney's "Brother Bear" is more mystical and New Age than your average animated movie about animals, although it does have a couple of talking moose and a cute cubby bear. It's ambitious in its artistry, incorporating images from prehistoric cave paintings and playing with the screen width. But it doesn't have the zowie factor of " The Lion King " or " Finding Nemo ," and is sweet rather than exciting. Children and their parents are likely to relate on completely different levels, the adults connecting with the transfer of souls from man to beast, while the kids are excited by the adventure stuff.
