Fire Force has had an intense and interesting second season following on the high-heat antics of the first season! Now with protagonist Kuasakabe Shinra coming into his own as a pyrokinetic who possesses a legendary Adolla Burst, as well as the story furthering the pre-existing lore, season 2 of Fire Force has been a great watch. Now in the second season, we are being treated to more intense fights as the world of Fire Force continues to reveal itself to us! With the appearance of the members of the White-Clad known as Haumea and Charon, the city is again thrown into disarray. The year is Solar Calendar The risk of death runs high, but among the usual deadly fare, one grisly method of demise stands out the most: Death by fire. Known as the "Spontaneous Human Combustion", many people now face the risk of turning into "Infernals", rampaging beasts with no control over themselves and in a state of burning pain. It's a completely random and extremely fatal process, with nearly no way to stop it. To combat this, the world established "Special Fire Forces" - groups with members who can control flames enough to extinguish the Infernals and put the rampaging souls to rest. Some officers can control fire, while others can create fire in unique ways. Shinra Kusakabe is one such person.
It is now up to Shinra and his allies to put a stop to this doomsday cult. As a faction that is creating Infernals appears, Shinra begins to uncover the truth behind a mysterious fire that caused the death of his family twelve years ago. The anime was officially announced via the Fire Force twitter account , on 14th of November On the 25th of February , Funimation officially announced via their Twitter [2] that they had claimed official rights to the anime, and would be streaming it via their platform FunimationNow in the same year. The first episode aired in Japan on July 6th, ; with an English subbed version released by Crunchyroll an hour later, as well as an English dubbed version released by Funimation an hour after the Japan broadcast. The third episode, scheduled to air on July 20, , was delayed due to an arson attack which took place at Kyoto Animation a day prior to the premiere. Spontaneous Human Combustion: a chaotic phenomenon that has plagued humanity for years, randomly transforming ordinary people into flaming, violent creatures known as Infernals. While Infernals make up the first-generation accounts of Human Combustion, the second and third generations became known as pyrokinetics—people gifted with the ability to manipulate and control their flames while remaining human. Young and eager third-generation pyrokinetic Shinra Kusakabe, nicknamed Devil's Footprints for his explosive ability to ignite his feet at will, becomes a member of the lively Special Fire Force Company 8. Upholding the brigade's duty to extinguish the blazing Infernals and lay their souls to rest, Shinra is determined to become a hero who will save the lives of those threatened by the flame terror. However, this is not the hero's game Shinra imagined. The Fire Force is a fractured mess of feuding brigades, abnormal Infernal sightings are increasing all over Tokyo, and a shadowy group is claiming to have answers to the strange fire that caused the death of Shinra's family 12 years ago.
