After all, Marvel's comic book universe is crammed full of literal deities from nearly every pantheon known to man. As summertime starts to hit full stride in the wake of 4th of July, Marvel Studios' "Thor: Love and Thunder" stumbled into multiplexes this weekend, dragging along both scathing reviews and confused MCU acolytes trying to unravel this chaotic blend of tone and style that is simply all over the map story-wise. Remember when the God of Thunder was a noble, semi-serious Asgardian rebelling against Odin, his overbearing father, and constantly dodging nefarious plots from his trickster step-brother, Loki? Well those days of old are perhaps gone forever as Marvel has made the questionable decision to reduce the valiant hammer-handling hero into a goofy, lovesick clown minus the red nose and oversized honking shoes. Marvel" all suffering from the same misguided deconstructionism that lacks any unifying coherence or internal logic.

Obviously the CGI used to generate liquid effects and other aspects is all done using high-end modern technology, but in an interview with Screen Rant , Mielgo said he and his crew actually brought in a choreographer to design the siren's dance and used footage of that performance to match the animated character's motions. Wanting to maintain this nonverbal visual language, the same technique was also used for the knights, using dancers, recording footage of them acting out the motions and then using that footage as reference to match for the knight's motion. The end effect is truly dazzling, especially considering the silent characters puts an additional burden on the animators to convey each aspect of the story through motion and cinematography.
