For a Great Dane, Scooby-Doo has had an impressive innings. In all that time the US version of Scooby has been voiced by only five actors the original actor, Don Messick, played him from to , and there remains something so familiar and reassuring about Scooby, even as the storylines and the entanglements of the Scooby gang change around him.

The music is really enjoyable throughout, particularly the souped-up version of the theme song that Velma sings at the end — in fact, Velma is voiced for the first time in 30 years by the original actress, Nicole Jaffe, and her vocal performance is loads of fun.
Casey Kasem returns too as Shaggy. The baddies are mask-wearing miscreants and everything is kept very light. A very untaxing Scooby film with only the mildest element of peril. A lot of the delight of the modern Doo! The gang have travelled the world, and seeing Scooby surfing and craving Macadamia Nut Pie is a nice development for this adventure.

The new design of Scooby-Doo has reportedly leaked from the upcoming Scoob movie, and it looks a lot like the Scooby we all know and love. The new animated mystery comedy just cast Zac Efron and Amanda Seyfried as Fred and Daphne, respectively and now we might have our first look at the main man himself. The movie has been in development for a number of years, but it looks like things are finally preparing to move forward as Hanna-Barbera plots their own cinematic universe, full of iconic cartoons from the past. Upon looking at this new image of Scooby-Doo , one would hardly call it a "new" design.

Obvious the only way to follow these up was by watching all 42 Scooby-Doo movies. I spent the last month watching every Scooby-Doo animated and live-action movie, just so I can point out the few actually fun ones. Scooby-Doo movies, much like the series, see the Mystery Incorporated team in a new location solving a new mystery. Normally after arriving somewhere new, they or the locals are assaulted by some sort of spook, and after a series of comedic capers they are revealed to be some man in a mask. Main motivators include real estate schemes , revenge and treasure , but occasionally the group are coerced into saving the world. Obviously these are much longer than their normal minute slot, so the pressure is on to the maker of any Scooby-Doo film to make something that manages to maintain your attention for the full run-time of a movie.
