I believe it was shown on the Woody Woodpecker show , but it could have been any of those multi-clip Saturday morning cartoon shows from the 70s. Around that time, Cartoon Network picked up rerun rights and aired " The Woody Woodpecker Show " for one year, after which the series disappeared from television.

Tex Avery's SHHh is a real masterpiece. Love Woody! Both of them, actually. Disney has already announced a Treasures release for the character's short films. They still own the rights to those cartoons, but the earlier ones made by Disney and company were distributed by Universal.
A year ago, when Disney bought Oswald, they only bought those early Oswald cartoons which isn't many, thus only one Oswald Treasure's set annouced and the rights to the character itself. The dvd set will contain three discs and include 75 vintage Walter Lantz cartoons, completely uncut - as originally seen in theaters.

Wally Walrus is a fictional animated cartoon character who appeared in several films produced by Walter Lantz Productions in the s and s. Wally is an anthropomorphic walrus who, in most of his appearances, speaks with a pronounced Swedish accent. Wally is rather slow-witted at times, and prone to anger when provoked. For many years, Wally was the primary foil for Woody Woodpecker , bearing roughly the same relationship to that character as Elmer Fudd had to Bugs Bunny in Warner Brothers ' animated shorts from the same era. Wally continued to be featured in Lantz cartoons through 's Wacky-Bye Baby , at which time he was more or less replaced by Buzz Buzzard as Woody Woodpecker's primary foil.
