Kantai collection vs azur lane anime

Being an Admiral sounds fun but it is not easy. First there is the war with the mysterious Abyssal Fleet, which have decided to lock down the sea and it's surrounding airspace, indiscriminately shooting at anything they deem a threat. Then there is the issue with logistics and resources, which is hard to come by with the whole lock down going on. Most important job of being an Admiral is ship maintenance.

Top positive review. Reviewed in the United States on October 17, Based off a browser game, this anime isn't keen on compelling plot with complex characters.

What it DOES do is provide some good ol' fashioned explosions and cute characters. If you have some knowledge of Japanese naval history you'll enjoy some of the character quirks and references.

If you want to see cute girls carry 40, tons of battle equipment on their backs and bomb the Hell out of aliens and fling torpedoes while doing ballet spins, this is the show to watch.

Top critical review. Reviewed in the United States on May 30, I loved the getting to know the adorable characters and watching their relationships unfold. One thing important that I felt the series needed was more of an explanation as to what they are fighting.

They are fighting, but you have no insight as to the origin of the enemy. Sort by. Top reviews Most recent Top reviews. Filter by. All reviewers Verified purchase only All reviewers. This is a complete review of the anime based off a popular Japanese game. The plot is basic and absurd but the characters are endearing. The animation is also solid. Both the English and Japanese tracks are well acted.

This is an anime to watch if you want to relax. Watched this over a year ago on YouTube and when the opportunity came to purchase I just jumped on it. You have some wild humor and it just goes along with the "Girls und Panzers" themes. One person found this helpful. I purchased this on a whim. I didn't know it was based on some sort of mobile game in Japan nor did I delve into the background.

It was an impulse buy. To be honest I saw u tube videos that occasionally featured high school fleet and thought this was it. I watched this and realized this wasn't that. So if you are new to all this let me try and explain hopefully without sounding to weird. There is high-school fleet which is about Japanese girls on warships fighting evil doers. You have this series which is about Japanese girls who represent the spirits of japanese warships and they jetski around shooting torpedoes and canons at the bad guys who are taking over the sea lanes.

There is another series exploding in popularity called azure lane I think I got that name right but I haven't got ino that one yet. Anyway now that we have the players right hopefully we can avoid confusing which girls are saving the sea lanes, how and where and from what. Now onward. I am reluctant to admit I actually enjoyed this series. The voice actors were good and the episodes have their moments. Do not go into this thinking there is a logical storyline or coherent detailed backstory.

If I were describing this thing to someone There are people who love Godzilla movies and many that don't. There are those that love slasher movies but others not so much. Zombie movies are also pretty much love them or hatem. You either like it and entertained by those types of movies or your not. I think this series falls into that category. Take a vacation from your brain, sit down and watch this series and enjoy it Couple of other things. Don't go into this expecting great dialogue..

I guess its distinguished from unoffensive attacks? I should also warn you if you watch this series more then once you will find yourself going through your browser looking up the word "poi".

Who knew one little word had so many meanings Yes there is a character in this series that says the word a lot and evidently started a whole Oh yes, there was a movie set after season one which can be found out there in the internet. You may want to keep in mind region codes and if the version you are looking at is dubbed or only in Japanese. There is also a season two that they are wrapping up now.

If you miss all this there will be no poi for you. It's a Perfect anime the voice actors from all high end anime its a beautiful show. Really good story hope they make more. Girls as personifications of warships It's anime alright. The show was fun to watch, and so was the half-baked attempt at having it make sense.

However, the enjoyment more than made up for the obvious plot holes and such. Just throw out your understanding of physics and biology, and just sit back and enjoy this fun show. If you like anime girls and warships than this is the show for you. I wasn't sure how this anime would be, but hoped it would be as good as Girls Und Panzer and I wasn't disappointed.

It's not as good, but was close enough. I liked it. Need customer service? Click here. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. Back to top. Get to Know Us. Make Money with Us. Kantai Collection: Kan Colle

I wondered how Azur Lane , the seeming Chinese clone of the Kantai Collection game, would tell a story about ship girls for anime. Comparisons to Kantai Collection are easy to make, but there are quite a few titles where cute magical girls, inspired by military craft, battle aliens from another dimension. What matters will be the execution of how Azur Lane tells its story. So far, I see strains of a story involving friendship developing on opposite sides of a war, a broken heart that needs mending, and a lesson to be taught about whether victory won through becoming like the enemy is authentic success. I watched the Kantai Collection anime from a few years ago and I was disappointed at how the tone whipsawed between really serious and really goofy.

If you have been following trends in Japanese subculture in the recent years, you may have heard of Kancolle Kantai Collection , a browser game from DMM. As with any popular franchise, other companies have been trying to create lookalikes of Kancolle. It was first published in China by Bilibili on May 25, , with a separate Japanese version published later by Yostar on September 14, It has managed to create a boom that even rivals Kancolle in Japan for being able to offer something original. The recently-released Kancolle Arcade did rectify this problem as it gives the player control for fleet movements.

Azur Lane is a Chinese mobile game that has managed to become popular in a number of markets.

With the seas under constant threat from the hostile "Abyssal Fleet," a specialized naval base is established to counter them. Rather than standard naval weaponry, however, the base is armed with "Kanmusu"—girls who harbor the spirits of Japanese warships—possessing the ability to don weaponized gear that allows them to harness the powerful souls within themselves. Fubuki, a young Destroyer-type Kanmusu, joins the base as a new recruit; unfortunately for her, despite her inexperience and timid nature, she is assigned to the famous Third Torpedo Squadron and quickly thrust into the heat of battle. When she is rescued from near annihilation, the rookie warship resolves to become as strong as the one who saved her. KanColle is finished and has 12 Episodes. Strike Witches is set in an alternate version of , where the events of World War II are very different than what we know to be true. Alien invaders known as the Neuroi came to Earth in
