Just as the characters from The Legend of Korra are from various nations, so too are the show's creators. The franchise has seen an unprecedented resurgence in popularity, and if there ever was a time to bring audiences around the world a new chapter, its sooner rather than later. While most of us wish this were not the case, there is no word on any release date for The Legend of Korra season 5. Even though the series topped the charts on Netflix, indicating subscribers are ready for more from the brilliant franchise. There is no denying that there is a serious demand for the fifth season of The Legend of Korra, and it seems like an excellent opportunity for Netflix to cash in on considering how well it has been received on its platform. While fans wait for a release date to arrive for the hugely desired fifth installment, all the memorable moments from the first incredibly enthralling four seasons are on Netflix now. Its also safe to assume that their will be plenty of new faces added to the mix as well, resulting in a series, that if it ever arrives, would absolutely be number one contender for Netflix.

It is a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart. Under the tutelage of Aang's son, Tenzin, Korra begins her airbending training while dealing with the dangers at large.
Why The Legend of Korra Found New Life on Netflix
Nickelodeon's Legend of Korra was a sequel series to the wildly popular Avatar: The Last Airbender , and it ran for four seasons before it was quietly canceled ahead of season 5. Legend of Korra focused on the new Avatar, a teenage girl named Korra, and significantly built out the mythology of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Many viewers blamed the end of Legend of Korra on how it significantly differs from its predecessor. While Avatar: The Last Airbender was aimed at children, Legend of Korra was designed for an older audience, and it dealt with more mature themes such as terrorism, fascism, and sexual orientation. Some Avatar: The Last Airbender fans hated the show's tonal shift, while Legend of Korra supporters blamed Nickelodeon's refusal to promote the show for its cancelation before Korra season 5.
