It's about a group of middle-school students, named Akari, Yui, Kyouko, and Chinatsu, in the Amusement Club with constant intrusions from the school's student counsel.
It has a feel of which people would expect from typical situations with quick-paced comedy that makes each joke unable to stay longer than welcome. On the jokes that are part of a character's personality, like Akari and her invisibility, they put it in with various new contexts each time so that it doesn't get old.
It's humor in general is also quite great. A great essential question to fit with YuruYuri is "How do we, both individually and as a society, feel and express emotion? The whole thing is one giant embodiment of cause and effect emotions. In chapter three, Kyouko begins talking about Ferris Wheels in one of the fast-paced jokes. This outrageous comment of amazement is immediately followed by fear from Akari and Yui grounding her back down with the logic behind something like that.
Kyouko ticks differently from everyone else, thinking of these out-of-this-world concepts that would be exciting for her, but Yui brings common societal logic in and almost immediately grounds Kyouko by bringing in the majority, which shows how society punish the ones with different ways of processing thought, as seen in modern mental facilities and with mental "issues" in general.
Another way this manga expresses this is through Chitose, the assistant to student counsel vice president Ayano. She is known to take off her glasses and fantasize semi-sexual things between other characters when events trigger such activity.
At the point where this is introduced, it is explained quite vaguely: "When she enters fantasizing mode, Chitose takes off her glasses, blocking her sight and clearing the eyes of her heart, in order to focus with her whole spirit" Not only is this well worded, it examines part of Chitose in a humorous light as her "kink" in personality and emotion is directly expressed.
That is how this prompt directly relates to this manga. If one were to ask my favorite passage, I could not give a clear answer. The fast-paced humor and diverse characters make for so many different yet funny situations that I cannot pick one.

I watched both anime seasons of this manga, and am eagerly awaiting the third season or just an ova. So I decided to start reading the manga so I could get back into the craziness that is Yuru Yuri. It introduces us to all the characters and their quirks. Also introduces us to the crazy and little sister obsessed big sister of Akari. Who could forget Akari well everyone can , and her magical disappearing into the background act. The illustrations are wonderfully done, really fitting a manga like this. So if you like Slice of life manga, with some shoujo-ai elements, then this is a great manga for you.
