Top 10 goriest cartoons
The Simpsons is the longest-running animated sitcom and still continues to be popular today. The show has a cynical edge making fun of middle-class America with a balance of feel-good sentimentality. While many children and families watched the show back in the 90s, the children of Springfield watched one of the most violent cartoons in an afternoon time slot! Around the third season, The Simpsons decided to ramp up the adult content by including more swearing, sex, and some graphic violence for satirical purposes.

Warning: There will be spoilers ahead. There, Lamplighter Shawn Ashmore helped Vought administer experiments on psychiatric patients in secret. His demotion from The Seven, subsequent guilt over his experiments on young patients, and residual feelings of failing his father results in Lamplighter helping Hughie break into Vought Tower to free Starlight.
He never intended to return from their mission alive, though, and self-immolates in front of The Seven mural. After injecting her latest dose, she gets frisky with her landlord. He made one fatal error, however, when he decided to betray them. Billy corners Mesmer in a bathroom and proceeds to smash his face, repeatedly, into a pulp against a sink. In the finale, though, her lies finally caught up to her. The slow meltdown, leaving behind two gaping holes in her skull, proved a particularly shocking death for such a significant player.
He put the special ops team on standby and proceeded to lay siege on all living beings inside the warehouse. With his laser vision, he gleefully dismembered, maimed, and culled his way through, amidst screams of terror.
Season two delivered brief happiness when she got to reunite with her brother. An encounter with Stormfront Aya Cash ripped away from her happy reunion, leaving her brother dead. It sent Kimiko down a dark path for vengeance, with insatiable blood lust.

Or rather, to so wholly underestimate a foe. That includes Lucy, the sperm whale. He drives the boat right into Lucy, killer her and leaving the team sorting through her guts.
The various strands of its web reach far and wide in the world of film — not just horror. Aside from playing what is arguably the most important zombie in modern horror film history, Hinzman was also a camera operator on Night of the Living Dead and became a regional filmmaker of his own.
Wanting to revisit the Cemetery Zombie in some fashion, Bill Hinzman wrote, directed, edited and starred in Flesheater in — his sleazy ode to Romero and Night of the Living Dead. Just like Night , Flesheater was shot locally in rural Pennsylvania with friends, family, and local talent. Regional horror is known for its flavor of authenticity despite working with miniscule budgets, and Flesheater oozes that charm from scene to scene.
There is no story to speak of — a zombie once buried in some kind of satanic ritual the film only mentions satanic shenanigans once in an off-handed way is accidently freed from his special coffin and proceeds to much and crunch any warm body in his way, thus creating an ever-growing zombie horde in his wake.
There is something about that Pennsylvanian countryside that makes for a spooky backdrop to your low budget zombie epic. The sky is always overcast in steel grey cloud cover and the hills seem to roll on forever and ever; creating a true sense of isolation to the proceedings. Despite the acting talent in the film being universally, well, amateur to say the least, Bill Hinzman is able to imbue Flesheater with a creepy sense of dread he sustains for a breezy 80 some odd minutes of undead fun.
What struck during my first viewing of the film was how Hinzman actually managed to surprise me with the mean-spirited tone of the film. Flesheater starts off one way with a certain set of characters and you think you know exactly how it will go from the opening minutes. But no, Hinzman pulls the rug out from under you. Nobody is safe. Once the titular Flesheater of the title is free in the opening minutes, the film barrels from one gory set piece to the next and never bothers trying to be anything more than a good time.
There are no central characters. There are morals and lessons or themes. Flesheater is Bill Hinzman having fun and making a movie his friends and family. The special effects were handled by Jerry Gergley , who has credits such as Babylon 5 and the remake of My Bloody Valentine under his belt.
As mentioned above, Flesheater is indeed a low budget, regional, indie horror film. Flesheater is very competently made. Hinzman is no hack, but the cast being comprised of non-actors is a treasure chest of awkward dialogue delivery and laughable performances.
Flesheater is one of those modest little horror gems that makes you want to share it around with all your pals so they can enjoy its homegrown delights. There is something refreshing about watching a horror film as absolutely unpretentious as this one. It has one goal: to be as entertaining as possible. As a work of no-frills zombie entertainment and as a tertiary piece of the legacy of George A. Romero, seek out Flesheater. You can grab it on 4K from Vinegar Syndrome!

As a medium, cartoons can be a misunderstood as a form of entertainment reserved for children and hardcore fans of Family Guy. In actuality, there is a large population of adults who consume both old cartoons they watched as kids and new cartoons targeted toward adults. These shows can illustrate both youthful and grown-up themes while still serving as a great escape from the stressful world. At university, I actually met one of my best friends by identifying a sticker on her laptop that was a reference to a cartoon on Disney Channel.
Stay current with our projects, blog posts, and more. When I was a kid, I was so crazy about cartoons. You can say I was hooked on them. I remember my parents had to be home at 7 PM sharp to record the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episode, so that my brother and I could watch it the next day after school.
A Chinese court on Wednesday ruled that the producer of a popular cartoon was partly to blame for a violent incident that caused injuries to two children, urging cartoon producers and society to think carefully about violence in children's films and television programs. According to the court's ruling, Shun Shun's guardians will pay 60 percent of the injured brothers' compensation; the cartoon producer will pay 15 percent. The cartoon has previously shown many scenes of violence, resulting in serious consequences, the court heard. This case has set a precedent. This is the first time a cartoon producer has been sued in a court of law.
