The finale of Horimiya left a bittersweet taste in viewers' mouths. In the last episode, Kyoko Hori, Izumi Miyamura and their friends are graduating high school.
He reminiscences on the significant moments of his high school life, reflecting how much he has grown and matured over the years as he went from being a social outcast into a down-to-earth, kindhearted classmate and friend to everyone. As a result, viewers are left with several unresolved questions -- which begs the idea of a potential movie or OVA in the future. Horimiya 's first and biggest question is whether or not Hori and Miyamura will get that fairy-tale happy ending usually seen in shojo manga and anime.
However, in Episode 12 Hori confesses she wants to stay with Miyamura after high school, and he responds with a marriage proposal. As it stands right now though, it seems Horimiya viewers can only assume that the two have a blissful marriage.
Another key plot hole that deserves a solid conclusion is the relationship between Toru Ishikawa and Yuki Yoshikawa. However, Toru and Yuki eventually catch feelings for one another but are too shy to say anything. Therefore, viewers wonder whether or not Yuki and Toru will ever sincerely confess their feelings. Horimiya 's finale also does not give a satisfactory ending for the various other supporting characters. Remi, Yanagi, and the rest of the side cast desire a possible road trip with friends since everyone is graduating.
It never actually happens, but these hints set up the potentiality of a future movie or OVA, where all the cast members get together one final time.
The Horimiya franchise could do this too, given the fact that there are relationship stories without firm conclusions. A second season is highly unlikely, but a Horimiya movie or OVA is still a possibility. Read Next in anime.

I decided to watch the film before watching the series because I enjoy watching romance themed manga, anime, and etc. So basically, I am coming in with no previous background on the story or characters. Tamako Love Story is based on the anime, Tamako Market. The movie focuses on the childhood friendship between Tamako Kitashirakawa and Mochizou Ooji. Although their dads are at war with each other in regards to business, Tamako and Mochizou have a close friendship. However, it is later revealed that Mochizou is in love with Tamako.
