yeah look at my art and how much I’ve improved B] it makes me wonder why I ever thought drawing humans with those big eyes was such a good idea

I also think the progression of how I shaded necks is interesting (not just necks but other stuff about my art too)

ok so onto the art

January - old sona pfp, I wonder how many people still remember this one lol. (also this was actually created December 31, 2020 and not January of 2021 but it’s close enough and I couldn’t find anything better than this one lol)

February - that’s my humanized Yoshi oc, Blake. I’ve had him for a year and a half now, and I want to make some animations with him. This one is traditional because I couldn’t find any digital art from February?? I’m not sure why but this still works (I could’ve used something from an animation, but since everything here is unintentionally of humans, I thought it would make more sense to just have him here). It’s not super important but I used to draw eyes traditionally without the shade, so if you noticed that, it wasn’t a mistake, that’s just how I drew back then

March - another pfp, and this is actually still on a video, it’s that art video from several months ago. I still like how I did the coloring n stuff, but why did I make the hand like that, it doesn’t look right lol. I also said “crayon era” bc the line art brush I used was called “crayon”

April - my human X design with a background I found on the Clip Studio Asset Library. I still like the colors I used. This is also when I stopped always using purple when shading eyes (as opposed to using *only* purple for the shading, as I had done for all the time prior to this)

May - a birthday gift I made for Sammyi that you can still find on my channel. I wasn’t super proud of how this turned out, and this was around the time I was thinking of changing the way I drew eyes

June - Pride Month algebraliens as humans (it’s Four, X, Two, and Seven if you didn’t know). I still like the coloring and how I shaded the clothes on this one, it may not be what I can do now, but it’s still decent

July - Two and Seven in love on ms paint [hearts] and I finally gave them normal eyes!!!! This is s o much easier to draw, and it’s a lot better to look at B)

August - a birthday gift for one of my best friends :D this one turned out so well!! I’m still really proud of it; I chose good colors, the anatomy (like the head-to-body ratio and how I drew us in general) is good, and the shading is like really good :0 This is also around the time that I began to enjoy shading

September - my Mario version of my sona :D the shading is still great, and the grass in the back is detailed but idk if it should be that detailed. It still looks good though B] (this is my current pfp at the time of making this too)

October - gotta love oc x canon (it’s my human Yoshi and my human Blake lol). This was also inspired by a thing I saw on Twitter- I’m still proud of the shading, like the eyes and the clothes. I also finally give people teeth!!! Now the mouths I draw actually look good B) Yoshi’s mouth is really good (coming from the person who often has trouble drawing mouths), so that’s important to me as well

November - Sam’s human Seven. This one started off as a stress reliever, but after I felt better (and the thing wasn’t even close to being done), I decided to just like. do what I wanted with it. Like look at the shading dude!!! That’s awesome!!! I also gave Seven more freckles than they had, I think they look fine but I just wanted to add a lot of freckles, I hope that’s okay (btw the freckles are actually from a brush I found, I didn’t make all of them individually and that’s probably another reason why I added a lot of freckles lol). I hope you like it Sam bc I’m like really proud of it :D

December - Sam’s human Five (I uploaded this yesterday, so I’m not going to talk about it as much). I’m so proud of this??? Five looks so cool what the heck- I said this in the video, but I traced parts of two reference images for the sketch, so I didn’t draw it all by myself, but people playing instruments are really hard to draw so I hope that’s kind of understandable
