Despite it actually being cancelled when it originally aired in the 90s and the fact that it only ran for one season, Cowboy Bebop is easily one of the biggest and best animes of all time. The anime has become so popular with it finding a second life on Netflix, the streaming service decided to create a live action version set to air on November 19th 2021, with John Cho set to play the leading role of Spike. One of the reasons the anime is so popular, other than the brilliant and colorful characters, intricate sci fi world and episodic style is the attention to detail and hidden references and Easter Eggs inserted into the show.
Now taking this into account along with the fact that the live action series is just round the corner, we thought now would be the ideal time to go back and revisit the Bebop once again and go over 15 or so things you might have missed the first time around.

From references and nods to martial art superstars, baseball and basketball legends, massive sci-fi franchises, iconic musicians (and even some US shows you might not expect), to the secret inspiration behind some of the characters, secrets about them you may not have realized, nods to some of the animes that CB was influenced by, call backs to the great decade that was the 90s, cool touches of foreshadowing that you may not have realized, to the anime acting out a real life event beat by beat. Get ready to travel through the frontiers of space as we take a deeper look at our favorite gang of space rogues. See you, Space Cowboy!
