I take a look at the history and evolution of Foghorn Leghorn, the arrogant and obnoxious rooster known as one of the Looney Tunes’ greatest sources of conflict and comedy. Originally debuting as a side-character, he soon stole the show – becoming a star himself. A parody of various popular radio characters of the time, Foghorn even came to overshadow his soon-forgotten inspirations. Appearing in only 29 shorts in the Golden Age, Foghorn still became an iconic and highly beloved Tune.
I take a look at how Foggy has evolved and how animators changed his look, personality and visual style over the years.
