KCPN Special: Interview with David Ruggeri

Published
GAT sits down to have a conversation with artist David Ruggeri a year from their last conversation to catch up, talk about the art scene, and dive into the passion of creating.

When he’s not working as an associate professor of health sciences, Ruggeri is painting. His inspiration comes from graffiti culture, specifically the movement, colors, and style. He likes to pull in inspiration from his predecessors such as Keith Haring, Cope2, and Kaws, always making sure to use a lot of color, patterns, texture and ‘pop.’

Ruggeri will participate in the October First Friday exhibition at The Jones Gallery, located in the nationally recognized Kansas City Crossroads Art District alongside local artists
